Wellbeing Day 10th March 2018
Our Wellbeing Day this year took place in Art Angel. Eighteen carers plus 6 guests and three workshop leaders. The day started of with myself explaining a bit about our Hope and Recovery groups and three carers Sandra, Allan and Carol gave some insight into how doing the Hope and Recovery Course helped them deal with some of the the problems they encountered in living with someone they love with a mental illness.. Val, Michelle and Heather from Carsview talked about Recovery in the Wards. . Before we broke for lunch I introduced the workshop facilitators who gave everyone an idea about their workshop. Karen told us about her sewing workshop, Lindsey gave us an idea about her workshops in mindfulness, Tia chai and relaxation. Kevin told us about his creative writing workshop so this gave everyone an opportunity to choose their workshop.
We had a lovely buffet lunch before we went off to our particular workshop.
The afternoon seen a lot of fun and laughter and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves. Thanks to Art Angel for allowing us to use their premises for this occasion. Our evaluation of the day proved a very successful day.

New Booklet - Carer Stories
Our latest publication is a booklet called "Our Stories". This is the thoughts and feelings of some of our members. They felt that they could share with others in a similar situation their own lived experiences. They hope that by passing on these experiences they could help others to seek support just as they did.

Summer Outing to Scone Palace June 2017
We had another excellent summer day out, this year to Scone Palace in Perth. It was a beautiful hot summers day and we had a tour of the palace and time to wander round the grounds and take in the maze. We also sampled some delicious scones in the cafe there. On our return journey we stopped off at the Inchture Hotel for high tea to round off our day.
We must congratulate our secretary Sandra Marshall for being awarded the Rotary Club of Dundee Endeavour Award.
Each year the Rotary Club recognises individuals in our community who have gone that extra mile in support of a volutary project or charity.
Our thanks go to the Rotary Club for recognising the work of our charity and we send our warmest congratulations to Sandra.
